THE POWER OF A (THE) DREAM

THE POWER OF A (THE) DREAM

Submitter’s Note:
Here are my notes (in point form) from a TV program I came across by Australian pastor Brian Houston. Whilst many may find his teachings “overly heavily religious and Christian fundamental”, I believe Brian makes some excellent points and the principles DO work along life’s magical journey.

To your success and following your dreams …even the “wildest” ones

Joseph’s dream as a leader. God gave him a dream.
1. Your dream will sometimes threaten someone, some people. It can make people feel “uncomfortable” and perhaps “inadequate”, compared to your apparent “delusions of grandeur”.
2. Dreamers don’t stop dreaming. They just dream, another bigger dream, once they have accomplished the first “seemingly impossible” dream.

Never stop dreaming

“When we lose our capacity to dream, we lose our view of the future.”

3. Dreamers understand other dreamers. Accept that not everyone will understand your journey and your dream.

4. Dreams create energy and enthusiasm in you.

Dream a “God-given” dream.

Develop “the will to live”
Here are some “Dream Killers”

* discouragement
* temptation
* distraction
* the sacrifice involved in the pursuit – be willing to “pay the price”, the cost of it

Have a sense of purpose
Have a will to succeed

“Champions have to have the skill, but the will must be greater than the skill.”

Muhammad Ali

from http://www.youcanbeachampion.wordpress.com

and http://www.craigsquotes.wordpress.com
Just trust the process – your journey.
God will never give you a dream of mediocrity, of failure,
But a dream of success

God has “called” you to success – a dream far bigger than you can imagine yourself.
Have the will to serve others. God has called you to serve
“Live to serve and serve to succeed. “ The dream pursuit is not just about ourselves – it’s about something far bigger. So have an outward, rather than an inward focus. Do you have what it will take, ie will you pay the cost?

Have a dream of success (ultimate)
Be in the rare 1% of the population (“a one per-center”), who is a dreamer

Always remember that The Spirit of God is within you

“A portion of the Spirit that made the world is in YOU, but first it has to be activated.”

from http://www.beyondthezonespirit.wordpress.com

and

http://www.craigsquotes.wordpress.com

“Young men will see visions, older people will dream dreams.”
YOU can help inspire a vision in others

Never stop dreaming.
The Spirit of God (“The Holy Spirit”) will guide you into all truth

“He will empower you through His Spirit.”
Ephesians 3:16 (NLT)

“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Acts 1:8 (NKJV)

SUMMARY

“Live, succeed, serve.”
Be a “dream -enabler” to others.

“You live, succeed and you succeed to serve others.”

Be willing to pay the price, the cost of success.

Find and follow your “God-given purpose for life”
Never underestimate the power of a dream
Live your life by (with) conviction (an inner intuition, which comes from God??). This keeps you on course through the often “dark” days. The life of a dreamer can be lonely and at times overwhelming and don’t expect others to understand it. Its yours alone!

emilysquotes-com-understanding-journey-travel-life-sense-inspirational-zero-dean.

The Holy Spirit stands alongside you
“He will empower you through His Spirit.”
Ephesians 3:16 (NLT)

“But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
Acts1:8 (NKJV)

God is always thinking bigger than we are. Only God can give you a dream, which becomes your destiny.

  • Never underestimate what God can do with your dream….through helping others and fitting it into what the world needs.

It’s never too late to keep on dreaming. Make your dreams BIG enough for God to fit in.
Believe, really believe that God can do something so significant, so “supernatural” for you to accomplish. Then you will attract, encourage and perhaps even inspire other dreamers.

I’m still dreaming!
“Together, one mind, one life (one small step at a time), let’s see how many people (and lives) we can encourage, impact, empower, enrich, uplift and perhaps even inspire to reach their fullest potentials…and strive for and perhaps one sunny day even achieve their wildest dreams.”

    Hi

CAN’T KEEP UP…BUT THANKS FOR THE “THANX”

I’ve had many many hundreds of thousands (“zillions”) of comments on my various other WordPress blogs at https://craigsblogs.wordpress.com/2011/09/09/craigs-list-of-blogs-updated-sept-2011/
in recent years …true!) …a few of my blogs went “balistically viral” a few years back.

Obsessive or WHAT! Am really pleased you are enjoying my writings, as the reason I write is to share. However I am unable to keep up with the comments and was spending entire days just on replies on my various blog pages.

Though I’m rather “driven”, I still get really, really fatigued (there’s a few books there). so sorry can’t reply individually to all you good people scattered around the planet, but DO try to read as many as possible daily (and even moderate a few when I get a “mo”), I got swamped with comments on my various blogs, so have had to close them off on all of my blogs, except for one or two of particular interest to me

Sorry and hope you can understand.

I do really appreciate your liking, linking to and/or following this blog (and “writing in”), so “thanks for the thanx”
